Really tho, if Euro players have to pay the same price in subscription fees and bear all or most of the DT and delays associated with it, they should reward us with extra Skillpoints when there is a delay of an hour or more.

What he said, it does start to get annoying when all of this is done while most of the US is asleep, most of them don't know what DT is
Yeah, I woke up around 9 and found out there's "downtime" I made breakfast. Waffles and European tears are so good together.
The issue isnt the small number of US ppl playing during coffee and a donut.
It is the thousands who have to give up valuable playtime during their prime time and pay the same price for the service without a benefit to offset substandard service by most US player standards.
We are getting substandard service while paying the same price. We should be compensated for that :P

noon is your "prime time"? seriously?
if it bothers you so much, switch to the chinese server
It doesnt bother me. I just demand to receive quality service that other players expect or an offset due to the delay. Business 101 ;)
Belt respawns? plz. belts are hardly touched by the time they log on. Certainly not a benefit for ppl who dont mine.

again, you're receiving the exact same quality of service i'm receiving. i woke up today before down time, and i'm still not on the server, just like you. so what is the inequality?
now if you want to say that CCP is criminally incompetent when it comes to applying these patches, i'll agree to that. but that's not a "omg america gets all the breaks!!!" thing like what your little whine is
And again, you are one in a region of ppl mostly asleep during this time versus thousands of people in a different time zone who are effected.
The extended DT to 17:30 not only proves my point but drives it home.

Read EULA once more.
EULA doesnt apply when there is substandard service. Why do you think they gave us all 100,000 skillpoints for the last time this happened?
The skillpoints arent free. We pay for the service to work in the time THEY give (their contract with us includes time allocated for the initial advertised DT extension). We earned them. If they want to modify the contract, we have a right as customers to compensation.

There is no warranty against interference with your enjoyment of the Game. So if they give anything, they are just being nice.
Again, it doesnt apply just because they say it. There is consumer laws in the countries where their customers purchase their product (ongoing service) they have to conform to. Thats why they gave you the 100,000 SP the last time.
That is consumer protection law.

Wrong. EULA is a contract which we all have accepted and "signed". I know what you are trying to say, but you can't take CCP to court on this. They will just show to the EULA which you have accepted and that will be that no matter what local country law might say.
Your contract with CCP doesnt nullify their contract with the governments that allow them under license to operate as a provider. It also doesnt nullify Consumer Protection Act (depending on where you live and how their laws apply) from demanding a refund from the credit card company for a service not rendered.
So, customer satisfaction is in their best interest. That is why they gave you 100,000 SP the last time.

Its Patch Management. You test out the patch on a test environment, and after you find that its okay to go live, you put it on your real-world systems. 90% of the time, this works with no real problems. However, problems DO occur, simply because the test environment (most of the time) is not, or CANNOT be EXACTLY the same as the live environment. Therefore, when making the patch live, sometimes things just screw up.
Yeah, its inconvenient and annoying. But hey, CCP's doing their best. Just chill out, I'm sure you have something else to do than play Eve.
I dont think CCP can claim a 90% success record at patch application/extended DT ratio.
Yes, I trust that they are doing their best.

Cant be bothered to scroll through the EULA to find hte quotes for it but still, has anyone actually read and UNDERSTOOD the EULA?
and all these people saying that we pay for these new updates to the game like the Incursion patch coming in winter, you are mistaken, we do not pay for them, they are free like stated, we pay for our ACCOUNTS. If CCP wanted to they could buy another server and ask us to pay for these expansions like WOW does. So stfu whining seriously, specially all these people going on and on about they are breaking the law, they are extorting us...its pathetic
No, they arent about CCP breaking the law. You obviously didnt read the posts properly.
It is about Customer Satisfaction for inadequate service rendered.
Yes, we do pay for these updates. The updates would not exist if you were not in a business relationship with CCP by paying monthly subscriptions or purchasing their products (goods and services). Where do you think they get the money to hire the programmers to make these updates? Money trees?
Obviously, some of you have no clue of what goes into a business relationship between a company and their consumers.
Please set self-destruct to your pods when the server does come up.

Subscriptions, Plexes, Store. The funds come out of those prices charged to you, the customer.
This is not WOW. They are a different business and have different business practices.

unfair cantracts law (Legislation)
End of topic!
The laws are different from country to country as well as the guidelines for third party contracts (like credit card companies, etc). Unfair contracts law or Consumer Protection can mean something very different depending on where you do business or live. CCP has to deal with them all.
I dont think it can be summed up to a wiki article.

OMG, this patch really mucked up some stuff.
Resized windows Mod cursor on Icon when you move your active mods around is off centre Corp members no longer show green despite proper overview settings (purple instead in my case since im militia) Any killmails from BEFORE DT from corp window cannot be copied in order to paste them to killboards My EVE voice sticks in the ON position and then eventually drops dead completely
